How do I get rid of sticky residue (from masking tape) off untreated wood deck?
Lacquer Thinner, Paint Thinner, Goo Be Gone, even good old Gasoline.
However, do not use WD-40 as suggested, as it is oily, and will only create stains. And especially do NOT attempt to sand it away! This will drive the adhesive into the grains of the wood. When you do go to stain it, the area that you sanded will stand out like a sore thumb.
